More product launches could be on the horizon as well. According to Bloomberg’s Mark Gurman, Apple is expected to release a new iPad Pro, an updated Vision Pro headset, refreshed AirTags, a new Apple TV, a redesigned HomePod mini, and upgraded MacBooks sometime in 2025 or the first half of 2026.
The iPhone 17 has been redesigned to more closely resemble the Pro lineup. It now sports a slightly larger 6.3-inch display—up from 6.1 inches on the iPhone 16—and features a 120Hz refresh rate, a notable upgrade from the previous 60Hz. The device also includes a new 48-megapixel ultrawide camera.
It’s available in a fresh range of colors: lavender, mist blue, black, white, and sage.
The Pro model sees most of its changes on the back. The three rear cameras are now arranged in a horizontal rectangular bar stretching across the phone. The flash, microphone, and light sensor are positioned toward the far right. The Apple logo remains centered to align with the MagSafe charger.
One key change to the iPhone 17 Pro is the material—it now uses an aluminum frame instead of the titanium band found on earlier models.
Pricing for the iPhone 17 starts at $799 with 256GB of storage, compared to the iPhone 16’s $699 starting price with 128GB. The iPhone 17 Pro is priced at $1,099, while the Pro Max starts at $1,199.
Although the spotlight was mainly on the new iPhones, Apple also introduced new phone cases as an added reveal. Dubbed “TechWoven” cases, they use a more premium woven material than the now-discontinued “FineWoven” fabric cases launched in 2023.
Notably absent from the presentation was any update on an AI-powered Siri—highlighting Apple’s lag behind Google and other competitors in the AI space.
The standout announcement from the event was the introduction of Apple’s thinnest phone to date—the iPhone Air, which replaces the iPhone Plus in the lineup.
With a remarkably slim profile of just 5.6 mm, it's approximately 0.08 inches thinner than current iPhone models. It boasts a 6.6-inch display with a 120Hz ProMotion refresh rate and supports only eSIM, contributing to its ultra-sleek design.
This launch seems to reflect Apple’s answer to the growing trend of thinner smartphones, following the lead of rivals like Samsung and Huawei. The iPhone Air may even surpass the upcoming Samsung Galaxy S25 Edge, which is 5.8 mm thick. It could also signal Apple’s next big step—the long-rumored foldable iPhone, expected to debut in September 2026.
The iPhone Air is priced at $999 and will be offered in black, white, sky blue, and light gold.
After a two-year hiatus, Apple has unveiled the Apple Watch Ultra 3, bringing with it faster charging, 5G connectivity, and satellite support. The new model also features a larger display.
One of the most notable additions to both the Ultra 3 and the Series 11 is blood pressure monitoring, which alerts users when their levels are too high or too low—marking a significant step forward in Apple’s health tracking capabilities.
The third-generation Apple Watch SE received only minor enhancements, with the main upgrade being an always-on display enabled by the faster S10 chip.
Pricing starts at $249 for the Apple Watch SE 3, $399 for the Series 11, and $799 for the Ultra 3.
Following the launch of the AirPods Pro 2 in 2022, an upgrade was long overdue. The newly announced AirPods Pro 3, priced at $249, introduces a more compact earbud design, enhanced audio quality, and a new heart rate sensor. A standout addition is real-time language translation, powered by Apple Intelligence, allowing users to understand foreign languages instantly.
